Recruitment Fraud

Beware of Recruitment Fraud

A diverse group of young professionals collaborating and working on laptops in a modern office environment.

We are committed to maintaining a fair, transparent, and ethical recruitment process.

Unfortunately, fraudulent job offers and recruitment scams are increasingly common and may misuse our name, brand, or employee identities.

We want to help you recognize these scams and protect yourself.

What Is Recruitment Fraud?

Recruitment fraud is a scam in which individuals or organizations falsely present themselves as representatives of Linamar to offer fake employment opportunities. These scams are designed to obtain personal information, financial payments, or both.  Fraudulent communications may appear legitimate and can include emails, text messages, social media outreach, or fake websites impersonating Linamar.

Linamar does not:

  • Request payment at any stage of the hiring process
  • Ask for banking details, credit card information, or cryptocurrency transfers during recruitment
  • Charge fees for job applications, interviews, or employment offers
  • Require payment for equipment, training, or immigration processing

Any request for money in connection with a job opportunity claiming to be from Linamar is fraudulent.

Linamar takes recruitment fraud seriously.  We actively respond to fraudulent activity and encourage anyone affected to report it.
