Since 1997 when product development efforts began with the PDT team and through the acquisition on McLaren Performance Technologies in 2003, we have been providing Full Service capabilities for an increasing array of products for our OEM customers.

Linamar Product Development encompasses a wide range of competencies that are organized under the umbrella of McLaren Performance Technologies. With three locations in Livonia, MI, Guelph, ON and Crimmitschau Germany we are able to serve a broader range of customers on a more global basis. Our capabilities include; Product conception & development, prototyping, system and component testing for DV and PV program phases, VE/VA, program management, evaluation of new technologies and warranty analysis.

Our most important capability integrates our product and process development expertise to provide products that are designed up front to provide the lowest possible cost and highest quality by making the manufacturing process an inseparable part of our product development process.

Complete Engine and Transmission / Driveline design capability, is augmented by an exhaustive knowledge base of all the component parts that go into these complex powertrain systems.
